We ship with Fastway couriers
Stocked products usually take 1-2 days for dispatch, orders made Friday to Monday will be sent on the following Tuesday. Always allow 2 weeks for clip in ponytails/hairpieces to be dispatched

General Questions

We may request a deposit or prepayment to secure your appointment if it exceeds 60 minutes or is booked for a busier time. This helps ensure that our stylists time isn’t unfairly taken up by people who are unlikely to turn up for the appointment. Deposits are fully refundable and transferable when you give us 48 hours’ notice to move or cancel your appointment.

We ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment. Should you arrive late, we will do our best to keep your arranged appointments, however we may have to shorten or change the appointment to ensure the stylist’s other clients for the day aren’t affected.

Our opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 6pm

Out of hours appointments may be made at the discretion of the staff. Appointments for occasions such as weddings, communions, etc., will be given consideration. However, there is no obligation to take out of hours bookings. If appointments are arranged for outside working hours, there will be an additional fee. 
Existing clients can take advantage of our complimentary fringe shape service. No need to book an appointment, just pop in the salon Tuesday– Friday (subject to availability).
This service includes the reshaping of an existing fringe. Unfortunately, we are unable to create/ cut-in a new fringe unless you are having a Cut & Style Service.
Walk-in Fringe Trim service for non-existing clients is charged at €10.

We accept all major Credit & Debit cards

As a general rule. we do not give refunds on hair services. If you are unhappy with your hair, we will do everything we can to correct it. Hair piece, extensions or wigs are also non-refundable for hygiene purposes. We will refund products with the presentation of the receipt. If you have purchased a product and within 2 uses feel it is not suitable for your hair, it may be exchanged for an alternative product with a consultation.

Unfortunately, because of the limited space and seating in salon, we need every chair for clients of the salon. We respectfully request that clients do not bring friends, relatives, or children in to wait for them whilst having their hair service.
In order to secure your ideal appointment time, please be sure to book your appointment 6-8 weeks in advance. Dates can be changed up to 48 hours if needed.
Evenings and Weekend appointments are our most popular times, and we advise to book at least two appointments in advance to secure your preferred slot.

Colour

Your health and wellbeing is a priority. Some people already have or can develop an allergic reaction to hair colour products which could result in hospitalisation.
This precautionary measure helps ensure that we can safely apply colour to your hair without risk of a reaction. Skin test must be done at least 48 hours before colour service.
We require clients to have an in-salon colour consultation in order book out the correct amount of time for your appointment and give you an accurate price for the service.
It also helps us to assess your hair and do any necessary testing to see if the result you want is achievable.

Yes, make sure to wash your hair at least 2 hours before your service, clean hair allows products to perform better. Hair build-up doesn’t allow products to perform at 100%

Extensions

We use both pre bonded extensions and tape extensions

A consultation is required before any extension service. At this consultation your stylist will talk through each system and advise which one would be most suitable for you.

The length required for extensions depends on each individual and what they are hoping to achieve. Suitability will be assessed at the consultation.

Yes, every extension service requires a consultation. At the consultation, the stylist can examine your hair and see which system suits best, how much hair is needed and decide on a colour match. At the consultation an exact price can be given.

An average time of 3 to 5 months is given for the life of extensions. This is determined by client’s own hair growth and client’s personal responsibility for homecare. A list of homecare requirements is given to each client after their extension application.

Extensions should not damage your hair. They should be applied in such a way that minimises stress on the hair. At Foxy Locks, we tailor our extension application in order to prevent damage. Occasionally, extensions may be too ‘heavy’ for the hair. If irritation occurs for this reason, they should be removed immediately.
Extensions are priced on an individual basis, depending on a number of factors. For this reason, an exact price can only be given through consultation. 

At Foxy Locks, we are committed to providing the very best service and products to our clients. For this reason, we only use extensions that we believe fall into this category. We only work with companies that provide a high standard of product and use hair that is ethically sourced. Through working with Platinum Extensions, we are also supporting independent Irish business. 

Hair extensions are a cosmetic procedure, and they should be applied to healthy hair. There are some medical conditions that may make a minority of clients unsuitable for extensions. Through an extension consultation, the client’s suitability can be ascertained and determine if the salon can be confident in producing a high-quality result.

Hair Loss Solutions

Yes, we are HSE registered salon.

If you have a medical card and you suffer from alopecia or cancer-related hair loss, you will be entitled to a HSE grant towards your hair piece/wig

You will need to get a letter from your doctor stating that you require a hairpiece/wig due to either alopecia or hair loss due to cancer-related treatments. This letter must contain your full name and PPS number.
Bring the letter with you to your appointment and we are happy to do the rest .
The amounts granted are different in every county .

You would need to contact your individual health insurance to check your cover .

We do not offer refunds on hair pieces/wigs for hygiene reasons. However, we will spend time with you advising you on what would suit your style/look. You may also come back with a friend for a second opinion before you commit to a specific hair piece/wig

We work with human hair pieces, synthetic hair pieces and high heat Fiber.

We offer both ready-to-wear and bespoke hair pieces/wigs for clients who suffer hair loss due to alopecia, Bald spots, thinning hair, or cancer-related hair loss. We also offer a wide range of products to promote hair growth. 

Beauty

We do make up, weekend lashes, gel nails, waxing and tinting, mini me wraps, lash lift, brow lamination and spray tanning.

The mini me wrap is a non-invasive body wrap treatment, that will give you a more sculptured body with lasting results. The advanced technology used in the solution breaks down fat cells. The amount varies depending on each individual, but results can be seen immediately. The mini me wrap also has an added anti-cellulite ingredient which will improve the appearance of cellulite.

The mini me wrap takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Weekend lashes last up to 3 days.

We use ‘beautiful brows and lashes’ for tint.

This precautionary measure helps ensure that we can safely apply colour to you without risk of a reaction. You will need a patch test at least 48 hours prior to your appointment for tinting.

We would advise you to get your brows done every 2-4 weeks. Legs, facial hair and under arm hair 4-6 weeks.

Your skin should be clean from oils moisturisers and your under arm should be free from deodorant 

We use Skinny Tan, Beautiful brows & lashes, Mini me, Mac, Inglot, Urban decay, benefit, mylee, be perfect, P Louise

We would recommend having your gel nails infill every 4 weeks and your gel manicure re done every 2 weeks. 

Skin should be clean and free from deodorants and moisturisers. Any waxing or shaving should be done at least 2 days before your appointment.
